November Spotlight Track
Blank Generation is the title track of The Voidoids' debut album Blank Generation. Richard Hell wrote the song during his time with the band Television, and performed it live with another band, The Heartbreakers.[1] The Sex Pistols' song "Pretty Vacant" was directly inspired by "Blank Generation".[2]
Blank Generation was played on 45 by Steven Rosen

Praising David Little's Set at October Vinyl Night
It's amazing how Vinyl Night seems to bring out the best -- most creative and imaginative -- in music programming among its participants. I am still blown away by the set that David Little put together at October's Vinyl Night. It was amazing. He started with "Je T'Aime... Mon n'en Plus," Serge Gainsbourg and Jane Birkin's tribute to romance and Salvador Dali; moved on to the mesmerizing "Collection of Crashes" and "Chinese Water Torture" from "Chilling, Thrilling Sounds of the Haunted House"; and closed with one of the most audaciously out-thereTop-40 songs ever, "D.O.A." by Bloodrock from the collection "Death, Glory and Retribution." The Coasters might well have been predicting David's set when they recorded "That Is Rock and Roll" back in 1959. But how will he top himself in November?
